Sooooo…Arkansas is BEAUTIFUL, and so are my friends. We had such a good time wondering around, catching up, laughing, and eating too much. I miss them already!
Saturday night, our sweet hostess’ boyfriend got us a hotel room in downtown Little Rock and treated us to a night out on the town. We celebrated with dinner at Dizzy’s Gypsy Bistro, a walk along the Arkansas River, drinks at the coolest little bar called Cache, and the most fun piano bar ever, Willy D’s. We laughed all night long.
We’re really good at this whole self timer thing…
After breakfast on Sunday, we headed out to do what we do best–SHOPPING. I got the cutest shirt and white flare jeans from a boutique called E. Leigh’s Contemporary Boutique. We had the yummiest late lunch and Bloody Marys at Big Orange, and then settled in for a night at home. We grilled out, watched tv, and recovered.
Monday, we made a run to get things for a picnic lunch on the Arkansas River Trail and headed out to be adventurous. The views are breathtaking, and we got in a pretty good workout. First, we walked over the Two Rivers Park Bridge and around the trail. Then, we crossed back over and walked down to the Big Dam Bridge. And a big dam bridge it was! (See what I did there??)
Anyway, the views were incredible and totally worth the hot, sweaty workout. We really wanted to climb Pinnacle Mountain while we were there, too, but it was just way too hot.
Our last day, we did more shopping, aired up a tired that was going flat, and went back to the River Market for dinner at Flying Saucer. We had plans of coming home, eating cookies, and watching a movie, but instead we all passed out. We’re old. We can’t hang like we used to. Haha!
The whole trip was spent reminiscing on the best memories and making great new ones. I’m so blessed with wonderful life long friends like Sarah and Emily. I can’t wait for our next adventure!
Did you guys enjoy all of the Snaps?? I might have over done it, Saturday night! HA! Sorry about that!
